RigEm&Roll Grapple

The RigEm&Roll is a proven grapple technology that allows any cable crane or knuckle crane to terminate in a grapple for rapidly dismantling tree canopies – especially wide, spreading canopies such as those found on hardwoods in the Southeast and Midwest.

The RigEm&Roll is a proven, robust design made of high-strength steel. No auxiliary hydraulics are required to operate the grapple, because the hydraulics are all self-contained. Control of the grapple is via a secure radio-remote communication link. The RigEm&Roll is available to 2 configurations, and with some limited options.

RigEm&Roll Basic

The basic RigEm&Roll is designed for cranes from 15 to 70 tons, weighs 450 pounds, and can accommodate remote rigging or manual rigging. Some users permanently mount the grapple in place of the headache ball. The grapple can be charged in an hour and once fully charged is capable of 100 cycles (fully opened to fully closed) before needing to be charged again.

RigEm&Roll Advanced

The advanced RigEm&Roll is designed for cranes from 40 to 120 tons (or larger), weighs 1,200 pounds, and allows for remote rigging of larger limbs and trunk-wood, as well as for cutting of limbs up to 20” in diameter.  The grapple has a capacity of 36” and offers unparalleled safety for dismantling tree canopies.  Because of the unique cutting and positioning technology, the grapple can eliminate climbers from most of the process of tree removal.  Requires advanced crane operator skill.
