Assess forest tracts for forest stand quality and propose/estimate the cost of deliverables such as maps, inventories, and reports to aid clients in making decisions regarding ongoing forest management decisions.
Perform inventory & mapping work in the forest stands and create deliverables that include detailed tree inventories, tree harvesting plans, environmental studies, statistical studies, sustainability analyses, and safety analyses, interactive mapping, and GPS databases.
Perform in-field safety audits/inspections and deliver any requested corrective actions that result from the checks.
Assess felling plans, climbing, or rigging plans, and other mechanized work plans, and ensure that they comply with client expectations as it relates to ongoing forest management.
Perform pre-work preparations, such as installing boundary postings, signs, or marking of trees on medium & large preservation, environmental, sylvicultural or clearing contracts to divide the work into various stages according to machinery type and prepare any relevant reports relating to costing or specialized subcontracting.
Guide & support crew leads to ensure compliance with contracts and federal, state, and local regulations.
Safety drive company vehicles, and document workflow and production performance.
Must Have:
Strong attention to detail
At least 5 years of experience in Forestry or Arboriculture
